Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety Policy

At União Química Internacional/Site Genom , the pursuit of excellence aims not only at economic and legal responsibility, but primarily at social and environmental commitment. Operating in the development and manufacture of pharmaceutical products for human consumption, we are aware of our responsibility to develop actions that benefit everyone without compromising the natural resources of future generations. It is our obligation to maintain a responsible stance towards our consumers, clients, employees, neighbors, suppliers, and the environment.

Committed to ensuring the safety and health of its employees, as well as preserving the environment, the site undertakes the following commitments:

-To provide safe and healthy working conditions, identifying the hazards and risks arising from operations, ensuring adequate control and monitoring of each of them, and preventing work-related injuries and illnesses;

-Protecting the environment and acting sustainably: identifying and measuring the environmental aspects and impacts derived from operations, carrying out appropriate control and monitoring for each of them, in addition to working to continuously reduce the consumption of natural resources and prevent any and all pollution;

-Establish and communicate relevant objectives and goals, based on critical analysis, taking into account the needs of employees and the site, history, legal requirements, among others;

-Work towards compliance with current legislation, as well as corporate or other requirements in the areas of Safety, Health and Environment;

-Prevent risks, with the aim of reducing the number of incidents, accidents and occupational diseases, with the objective of their total elimination;

-Develop an integrated management system that promotes the continuous improvement of processes, allocating the necessary resources to fulfill this policy;

- Involve workers in relevant processes through well-defined channels for consultation and participation;

-Promote theoretical and practical training, skills development, and awareness for all employees and contractors according to their responsibilities and roles;

-Maintain a constant dialogue with the community, employees, contractors, clients, and suppliers in accordance with the values of our corporate commitment.
