About Hytós Plus

Hytós Plus is a medication used to treat coughs of any cause, especially those involving allergies . Its combination of clobutinol hydrochloride and doxylamine succinate has an anti-allergic effect , helping to soothe an irritated throat and reduce nasal congestion. Available in drops and syrup, Hytós Plus is easy to use and can be administered with or without food.

Indications for use

– Cough of any etiology, especially when it involves an allergic component;

– Cough caused by common colds and flu;

– Coughing associated with allergic tracheobronchitis, laryngitis, and rhinopharyngitis;

– Irritating cough resulting from air pollution in the environment;

– Smoker's cough; – Post-operative cough in general, particularly after abdominal, thoracic and ophthalmological-otorhinolaryngological surgeries;

– Irritating and spastic cough caused by bronchoscopic examinations.

The combination of clobutinol hydrochloride and doxylamine succinate is a cough suppressant with anti-allergic action. Clobutinol combats irritating coughs without phlegm, and doxylamine succinate is an anti-allergic that combats the abnormal accumulation of fluid in the walls of the respiratory tract. Its effect begins between 15 and 30 minutes after administration, lasting for an average of 4 to 6 hours.

How Hytós Plus works

Hytós Plus is composed of clobutinol hydrochloride and doxylamine succinate. The former is a non-opioid antitussive that helps relieve dry cough , while the latter is an antihistamine that combats the abnormal accumulation of fluid in the airways , providing an effective anti-allergic action.

Dosage and how to use it

Syrup

For adults and adolescents over 12 years of age, the recommended dose of Hytós Plus is 1 measuring cup (10 mL), three times a day. Children between 3 and 12 years of age should take ½ to 1 measuring cup (5 mL – 10 mL), also three times a day. For children aged 2 to 3 years, the suggested dose is ¼ to ½ measuring cup (2.5 mL – 5 mL), three times a day.

Oral solution

Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age should take 20 drops of Hytós Plus three times a day. For children aged 3 to 12 years, the dosage is 10 to 20 drops three times a day. Children aged 2 to 3 years should take 5 to 10 drops, also three times a day.
