Indicações

TAZOMAZ is indicated for the treatment of the following bacterial infections:
Adults
1. Lower respiratory tract infections (pneumonia);
2. Urinary tract infections;
3. Intra-abdominal infections;
4. Skin and soft tissue infections;
5. Generalized bacterial infection (sepsis);
6. Gynecological infections, including infection of the inner wall of the uterus after childbirth and inflammatory disease of the female reproductive system;
7. Febrile neutropenic infections. Treatment in combination with an aminoglycoside antibiotic is recommended;
8. Bone and joint infections;
9. Polymicrobial infections (more than one causative microorganism).

Children over 2 years old
1. Febrile infections in pediatric patients who have a low number of blood cells responsible for defending the body (neutrophils). Treatment in combination with an aminoglycoside (a class of antibiotic such as amikacin) is recommended.
2. Intra-abdominal infections.

TAZOMAZ is indicated to ensure broad coverage and remain effective in combating infections caused by bacteria sensitive to piperacycline sodium + tazobactam sodium.
